What we do, in detail

Four services, within what a registered accountancy and tax practice may do.

Program 01 · Records, then figures

Bookkeeping and annual accounts

Annual accounts are only as good as the records behind them, which is why we tell you the date we need your documents rather than chasing them in the final fortnight. We will also say when a set of records is too incomplete to work from: producing accounts from guesswork protects nobody, least of all the director who signs them.

Program 02 · No aggressive schemes

Tax returns and advice

Most real tax saving comes from deciding something in the right order, not from a clever structure. We would rather be consulted before a transaction than asked to improve it afterwards. And we decline arrangements whose main purpose is a tax advantage contrary to the legislation, because the anti-abuse provision lets the administration set them aside, with interest.

Program 03 · Dates that do not move

VAT and reporting obligations

VAT is unforgiving in a way income tax is not: the penalties are largely automatic and they do not care why a return was late. So we work to a calendar agreed with you and we say plainly which dates cannot move. Cross-border supplies are where most errors sit, because the place-of-supply rules rarely match where anyone thinks the sale happened.

Program 04 · Beside you, within limits

Tax audits and disputes

An information request answered carelessly in week one shapes everything that follows, so we would rather see it before you reply. We can assist and represent you in dealings with the administration to the extent the law allows; proceedings before the courts require a lawyer, and we will say so and work with yours rather than overreach.
